Misys’ Industry-Leading Healthcare IT Solutions Meet Growing Demand to Improve Patient Care Through Greater Efficiency and Productivity

RALEIGH, N.C. (January 3, 2007) - Misys Healthcare Systems, a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced a series of new business successes that closed at the end of November 2006, reflecting a demand for solutions serving key market segments. Expanding existing relationships and winning new customers in this highly competitive sector suggests that caregivers across the country value Misys solutions for their ability to improve efficiency and patient care across the healthcare continuum.

New customers such as Daughters of Charity Health System, announced on December 15, 2006, chose Misys because of the company’s ability to offer a comprehensive patient record across all hospital and outpatient care environments in the healthcare enterprise.

New Misys customers include ProMedica Health System in Toledo, Ohio, a 400-user community, as well as physician practices Cardiovascular Specialists in Mount Vernon, Illinois, Florida Foot and Ankle in Miami, Florida, and the Upper Ohio Valley IPA in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Other new or expanded contracts include:

  • Acute Care Consultants, Dayton, Ohio
  • Ashtabula County Medical Center, Ashtabula, Ohio 
  • Fort Wayne Medical Oncology & Hematology, Fort Wayne, Indiana
  • Macoupin Family Practice, in Carlinville, Gillespie and Mt. Olive, Illinois
  • Medical Management System of Michigan—a billing company for 100 physicians in Lansing, Michigan
  • Peoria ENT—this Peoria, Ill. practice treats 4,100 patients annually.
  • Premier Medical Group—a 90-physician practice in Clarksville, Tennessee
  • R.C. Domingo, M.D.—a multi-specialty practice in southeastern Indiana.
