RALEIGH, N.C. – July 24, 2008 – Misys Healthcare Systems (FTSE: MSY.L), a market leader in healthcare IT, today announced a relationship with Blue Ridge Medical Management Corporation (Blue Ridge) to expand its health network and offer improved care processes across Tennessee and Virginia. Blue Ridge provides medical management services to physicians and entities in the region – including five recently acquired community hospitals that were using disparate practice management and billing systems. Blue Ridge purchased more than 125 licenses for Misys Vision® – as well as conversion services – to bring the hospitals’ physicians onto one common practice management platform in a timely manner.
Additionally, Blue Ridge will offer Misys Vision and Misys EMR® as hosted solutions for East Tennessee State University’s James H. Quillen College of Medicine. The company purchased 250 Misys Vision licenses and 325 Misys EMR licenses, which will enable Blue Ridge physicians to join a connected community of caregivers, quickly sharing data for enhanced patient care across the community.
